Peace be upon you guys.

As mass media has improving to another steps day by day, many of us don't even know about a man called Conrad Gessner. He was a Swiss scientist and without hesitate had pointed out and warned due to the effects of information overload. Regards of this information overload, people have a tendency relying and depending on digital life and being comfortable with this environment.

Actually, Gessner also believed that radio could also contribute to another scourge for youngster. Furthermore, during 1936, Gramophone was consider as an agent to diverse children's attention and becoming disturbance agent as well when they started to dividing the school assignments and the enjoyment listening to the music. Actually, this scientist who's warned about the effects of the overload information don't even know how to use the technologies since he died in 1565. I do think it's an ironic analogy for us. He don't even know what is e-mail actually, what kind of technology young generation would use, plus he would never know how the reality occur among us when it comes to dealing with new technologies. Yet, he kinda got an early chance to inform us regarding the effects of overload information :o)

When technologies hit us again in 20th century with the invention of personal computer and the internet phenomenon, many media had covered both things out. While CNN described email hit IQ than pot, Telegraph think Twitter and Facebook could contribute to a moral value constraint. What’s more interesting when Daily Mail came out with an article on how facebook raise a risk to cancer.

However, in this article, Vaughan Bell said even though there’s no strong evidence for those issues, it still became a leading since it was close related with our fear with new technology. Basically, there are research said that no consistence evidence for internet lead to the mental problem. Actually, yes, I do believe that not all technologies would be harmful for our generations and society. Anything new come out into our life could possibly becoming good or vice versa. It is depending on how we use it, how we stimulate and implementing those technologies. The way we adapt into those technologies also could take into account for considerations. Anyhow, it is depending on us, a new age of young generation (^.^)
